I am having trouble typing. The cursor placement jumps around and (therefore) inserts characters I'm typing in random places rather than where I mean to type. I think it may be because the touchpad is too sensitive.
I've tried:
Control Panel > Devices and Printers > right click on "mouse" to "mouse properties" > Elan tab > I tried selecting "Disable when external USB mouse plugged in." I also tried the "stop device" button to turn off the Elan Smart Pad (with reboots of course). However, with an external mouse plugged in and the device turned off, the touchpad still works.
Please advise. Thank you. Tim Webster
FROM ASUS (worked great):
Hi, I think maybe you touched the touchpad when you are typing something, so you can try pressing FN+F3 to disable the touchpad to versify the problem persists.
If the problem persists, please try reinstalling the ATK and driver below:
Wish you good luck! I do appreciate for your feedback!
