Meet w/ Camille again in 2 weeks.
Template based on sabbatical application.
Goals
1. Personal Growth - habits of thought, time, and space (larger framing of the questions)
2. Family Needs (specifics)
Plan
1. Meetings with Camille
2. Weekly ROS (4 hr), extended ROS (each month)
3. Reading/Study
4. Physical exercise (daily core, 4x, classes)
5. De-cluttering (family, grandparents, IV)
6. House Projects
Misc. (campus, re=entry)
Goals
1. This has been a good partial week beginning. I've been able to spend significant time in prayer most days. I have been framing my goals in terms of Ecclesiastes mostly in chapter 2 and begun thinking about the Enneagram materials from Camille. The "times" in Eccl. are gifts of God's sovereign provision, beyond our control, probably include different kinds of 'toil", cannot be leveraged for "gain", and can be received with joy, pleasure or probably "contentment" works. Asking the question "what time is it?" is a good spiritual discipline for receiving the time and whatever it holds (whether I want it or like it or not). I have not really taken on anything particularly structured yet.
2. I've had a couple of really good conversations with Corwin about prayer and difficulties he is facing. Had a good time on a "special day out" with Moriah on Saturday. Had a good conversation with Nigel last night about his problems at school. Ransom and Daraleigh are getting along as one might expect 3 year olds -- mostly pretty well -- but require constant supervision. Daraleigh doesn't know the rhythms or expectations of our family yet, so it is taking extra training. It is going to be a challenge to get quality time with Hilary and for her to get sufficient sleep. We resolved Corwin's class situation with Veritas last week and have made some other drops (piano, debate) to make his load easier, though important scheduling things (like college visits) have yet to be determined. Also need to work on current class confirmation and registration for next term.
Plans
Going pretty well. (4) Exercised a few times with Corwin but haven't done core. (2) ROS was broken up today into 3 sections, but mostly worked. (5&6) Getting a little house work done each day. Dropped off lumber for DR project. Basement floor is done and both shelving units are up, ready to re-load sorted things. Floor is not yet de-cluttered for exercise area -- this is next priority.
Misc.
Had good conversations with Bob and Shannon. Alan has met with Adrienne. I may need to meet with the FCA guy and new counselor at LU despite sabbatical
